If you've ever hired a big lawn company, you know the routine. You fill out a form, a call center follows up, and a truck you've never seen pulls up while you're at work. Nobody's quite sure what got done. I built Lawn Bros to be the opposite of that.
My name's Raoul. I'm a student at Oak Mountain and I run Lawn Bros Exterior Care here in the Hoover and Highway 280 area. When you text my number, you get me — not a dispatcher, not a rotating crew, not an app that assigns your yard to the cheapest bidder that week. Here's honestly why that's better for you, and where the big guys and the lawn-care apps fall short.
1. One person for the whole outside of your house
The big chains mostly do lawn treatments. The landscaping companies want big projects. The apps do mowing and nothing else. So you end up juggling three or four different vendors just to keep the outside of your house looking right.
I handle all of it from one text thread: mowing and edging, pressure washing, windows, gutters, bush trimming, pine straw, trash bin cleaning, and hauling. One person who already knows your property.
2. You get a real, local face — not a call center
A national franchise can't tell you who's coming to your house next Tuesday, because they don't know either. I can — it's me. I live here, my reputation lives here, and every yard I do is basically an ad for the next one. That's a level of accountability a franchise structure literally can't offer.
3. No contracts. Pay after the job. Cancel anytime.
This is the one people are most surprised by. The big companies push annual programs and lock you in. I don't do contracts at all. Book me once, or set up weekly or biweekly service — either way you pay after the work is done (Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, or cash) and you can cancel whenever, no phone tree, no cancellation fee.
4. Same-day quotes, usually within a couple hours
Text me your address and what you need, and you'll typically have a price back the same day — often within two hours. No callback window, no in-app runaround. If it rains, I reschedule and you're never charged for a visit that didn't happen.
5. Little things the big guys don't even offer
Take trash bin cleaning. Most lawn companies don't touch it, and the dedicated bin-cleaning services around Birmingham charge around $20 a month per bin. I'll deep-clean and sanitize your bins for $20 one-time, or $10 a month per bin — about half the going rate — while I'm already at your house. That's the kind of thing that's easy when one local person handles your whole exterior.
